After speaking with our local EOC Director, we will officially close the MCCS Shelter at 7:00 am on Thursday morning.
All employees should plan to report to your work site on Friday morning at 8:00 am. Students will return to school on Monday, 10/15/18.

Latest update from Emergency Management:
Please take note of the severity of Hurricane Michael. We We are now under a Tropical Storm warning. Our county is expected to receive sustained Tropical Storm force winds Tuesday evening into Wednesday with an increasing possibility of Hurricane force conditions before the storm exits the area . It is critical that you prepare your home and yourself to be without power for an extended period of time. Please seek shelter in a safe structure for the duration of this storm. We will be opening the shelter at Madison County Central School tomorrow October 9th at 2:00PM. Use tonight and tomorrow to restock your emergency kits and prep your home and yard by moving in items that could become flying debris. Current rainfall amounts are expected to be 4 to 8 inches. For those seeking shelter at Madison County Central School, please bring your personal items including blankets, pillows and any medications you may need. We will keep you updated as conditions change .

Due to the impending impact of Hurricane Michael, Madison County Schools will close in preparation to open Madison County Central School as a Risk Shelter.
The Risk Shelter will open on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. If you need to seek shelter during the storm, please bring your essential items with you to Madison County Central School. Please plan to stay in the shelter through Thursday.
